Here is a very rare Gibson GA-55 amp from 1955/56 . These amps had very low production numbers and to find one in this condition is amazing . These were basically Gibsons equivalent to the low powered Tweed Twin , putting out about 18-20 watts with 2 x 12 inch Jensens . Powered by a pair of 6L6 tubes the tone is fantastic , it has the volume to play live and the tube breakup is perfect . It has an extra input on the panel which at the moment doesn't seem to do anything , 3 extra screws have been attached to the back panel and the amp has been grounded , other than that the amp is all there .One speaker dates to 1955 the other to 1956 , all transformers are original with no modification . What an amp !
