'Kick Out The Jams' MC5 were arguably one of the coolest bands to come out of Detroit (or anywhere) in the early 70's . This is a rare Wayne Kramer Stars and Stripes Stratocaster . He was inspired by The Who and the Union Jack motif they used on all their clothing , he painted the Stars and Stripes on his main Strat and used it for his time in MC5 . Unfortunately when the band disbanded in the early 70's he fell on hard times and sold the guitar , before he sold it he painted it purple because a local music store said he ruined the guitar and they would not buy it , so under someone's bed is Wayne Kramer's original Strat in purple !
This example is in perfect shape (these were aged from the factory) with all the original parts , it plays great and sounds even better . 'This Tool Kills Hate '
