Here is a really great sounding 1968 Gibson Hummingbird . This was Gibson's second most expensive acoustic when it premiered in 1960 , the Hummingbird deviates from older Gibson dreadnoughts with its square shoulder design over the slope shoulder J-45 and J-50's , the enlarged ornate pick guard and inlays have always made this model a stand out . This one has one of the best Gibson acoustic tones i've heard , it has a beautiful 'woody' warmth with wonderful clarity , a few cracks have been repaired behind the bridge and are solid , at some point glue was added to the back of the bridge but sits flat and is completely solid.The neck is in great shape and plays perfectly , the guitar shows normal players wear on the top with finish checking .The only changes to this one is an added strap button on the heel and a newer strap button on the end of the guitar . I'm playing this one all day !
