Here is a fantastic 1970 Gibson Les Paul Custom , this was produced early in 1970 with 2 pots dating to 1969 and the other 2 dating to 1970 (serial # 907795) both pickups are original with Pat # stickers intact . This era has a very small volute with no breaks ! . The machine heads are aged waffle reissue Kluson that look perfect (the holes were widened a bit for a previous set of Grovers) the back of the headstock has a small touch up from a nick and is stamped with a '2' which usually denotes a small finish flaw, the original finish looks amazing with checking and natural players wear . The pickup selector was changed but the bridge and tailpiece along with all other hardware is original to 1970. It has just had a recent refret by the great Mike Spicer ( the nibs are still intact ) This one weighs in at 9 lbs 7 oz , a real rock machine !
