Here's an interesting beast . This is a restored 1953 Fender Twin . I'll start out by saying this amp sounds incredible , it's putting out about 25 watts , the tone is very similar to a 50's Tweed Deluxe ,with the 2 x12 inch speakers and a few more watts you can give yourself a bit more headroom without it compressing and getting to mushy .
The cabinet and tweed covering are original , both 12 inch Jensens date to 1953, the chassis is also original with 4 unexplained small holes near the bass and treble controls . This is where the restoration begins.
Both the output and power transformers have been replaced with the Hammond equivalent , all caps and resistors have also been replaced , and a grounded AC cord has been added . The front grill looks like original material but is a bit too clean compared to the tweed so we'll say that's been replaced as well .
