This amp sounds awesome ! Here we have a 1951 Fender Pro amp. This one came out of Capricorn Recording Studio in Macon Georgia ( Otis Redding, Allman Brothers) and apparently spent decades being used in the studio until a neighbouring farmer bought a bunch of gear at auction when the studio finally closed. This amp definitely has been used as intended with some maintence upgrades.The output transformer is a Mercury clone , the power transformer is original with upgraded brackets, all caps and resistors have been changed, original Jensen F15N speaker dating to 1951 has been reconed (also included is an extra cone) .Tweed is original , handle appears original, grill cloth looks replaced . This is the 5A5 version ( tube chart is still intact) sounds killer ! |
